On behalf of ITAB Interiors, we are back at the Old Ship in Brighton to repair a railing with railheads that are no longer manufactured. In the past we have declined this type of work in the main due to the difficulties in sourcing replacement railheads.
For the first time we are having a supplier copy and manufacture the railheads and if successful we will be in a position to repeat this type of work again!

In preparation for our first supplier based in Southampton, we are presenting to the Hampshire Building Control Managers Forum next month. Heads of Building Control or their representatives will be in attendance and any questions about the product will be put to myself and Mr Robert Struthers of RID Struthers, Structural Engineers of Brighton.
This is an excellent opportunity to present to all of the different Hampshire Authorities and explain how the Connect-A-Beam LABC System Approval will affect them. Although this will be our inaugural presentation to heads of Building Control, we expect to repeat to other Authorities in the not too distant future! Tuesday, October 6

Today Brian bought in a homemade Banoffee Pie after some discussion
regarding the authenticity of a well known Sussex restaurants claim to
have invented said dessert.
It was very nice, although after two attempts to devour I still have some way to go to finish! We are considering offering with every Connect-A-Beam order. Thursday, September 17

We are pleased to announce that F.H. Brundle are soon to stock the Connect-A-Beam range at their Southampton Depot in Hampshire!
We see this as the first step in rapidly increasing the visibility of the range and look forward to working closely with F.H. Brundle to develop further! More details to follow shortly.

Hi my name is Ian Williams and I am the Marketing Manager for Denmay Steel.
We manufacture our patented, tested and approved product for connecting steels in loft converisons. Installation is quick and easy and unlike traditional welded and bolted connections, can be collected from stock the same day. We cater for 20 different beam and column sizes and the whole range is interchangable. The only tool required is a simple allen key and you can even purchase these from us! Tuesday, July 14

We are pleased to announce that on the 13th of July 2009, Denmay Steel
gained LABC System Approval which allows the use of the Connect-A-Beam
range with Building Control compliance in any Authority in both England
and Wales.
In essence it allows the builder, fitter or client to use the connections without the need to get approval from Building Control prior to using. Up until now we have had to prove they do what they do every time we have gone into a new Authority. We now have the certification which negates the need to do this! |
